On the eastern edge of the Municipality of Clarington, Newcastle is home to a little over 9000 people.

 

The town was incorporated in 1856. It retains its agricultural roots, and retains a small town feel to this day. It has been called one of the best communities to live in Ontario.

Port of Newcastle

The Port of Newcastle features a number of amenities for visitors. There is a small beach, hiking trails, a park, and a marina. For boat owners, the marina offers 260 slips. For more information, visit the marina website.

Docville Wild West Park

Located in Newcastle, the Docville Wild West Park is a fully functional version of a Wild West town. Designed for film work, the park  lovingly recreates a 1880s Western town with a saloon, wagons and stores. The town can be rented for film shoots or group tours.
