Police seek aid in finding thieves PDF Print E-mail

Durham Regional Police investigators are looking for suspects after two separate theft incidents in Clarington.

The first occurred between Monday December 3 and Tuesday December 4, 2012 in the area of Concession Road and Liberty Street. Officers responded after a brand new ATV was stolen from a trailer on the property and driven away by an unknown suspect(s). The tracks led to a nearby construction site where a trailer was also stolen. There are no suspect descriptions at this time.

The second incident took place sometime between Tuesday December 4 and Wednesday December 5, 2012 in the King Street East and Brookhouse Drive area of Clarington. Officers responded to a break and enter call and noticed that a large item had been dragged out of the home and down the street. It was determined that the suspect(s) removed a safe from the home that contained a quantity of cash.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact D/Sgt. Teresa Hutchinson of the East Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1611. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
