Cops seek robbery suspects PDF Print E-mail

Durham Regional Police are seeking four male suspects following a gas bar robbery in Clarington over the weekend.

On Saturday February 4, 2012 at approximately 12:25 a.m. officers from East Division responded to an armed robbery incident at a Petro Canada gas bar located on Waverly Road South in Bowmanville involving four male suspects. The lone male employee was accosted by four male suspects, all disguised with facial coverings and one armed with a handgun who demanded money. The suspects fled on foot with a quantity of cash from the register as well as cigarettes and were observed fleeing on foot northbound on Waverly Road. The victim was not physically injured.

Responding officers, including a K-9 Unit searched the area with negative results. The investigation is ongoing and police are appealing for information leading to the identities of the four suspects. Officers recovered the handgun used in the robbery and it was determined to be a pellet gun.

The suspects are described as: one male black and three white males with slim builds, 17-18 years old, wearing dark clothing. The black male was disguised with a Halloween-type mask and the remaining three suspects were wearing balaclavas. One of the male white suspects was carrying the replica handgun.
