Police outreach in Orono PDF Print E-mail

Durham Regional Police are reaching out to the residents of Orono.

The DRPS East Division has announced a partnership with the Clarington Emergency and Fire Services (CEFS) and Municipal Law Enforcement for their first Community Outreach Day, to be held in Orono. The DRPS Mobile Command along with a C.E.F.S. vehicle will be on hand for this event. Members from all attending agencies will be present to provide information to Clarington residents on a variety of topics.

DRPS members will specifically be available to take applications for criminal information requests (C.I.R.’s) for volunteer and employment requirements. Applicants must have cash only ($15 for volunteer and $45 for employment requests), two pieces of government issued identification (one piece of ID must include a photo) and if applicable, a letter from the charity organization in which the applicant is looking to volunteer with.

The event will be held on Thursday August 18, 2011, at 5360 Main Street, Orono (former ‘Mercer’ garage) from 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
